hello guys, I'm new to directadmin.

my problems, recently I've purchased a dedicated server for the first time in life, previously I use to get resellers from top host companies dont want to mentions their name here. any how my questions are.

do I have to make a resellers account first and then add users into that?

as) under resellers 1, ad new user with domain.com+package?

I see about 40 messages that are saying brute force attack, when I checked into it I see over almost 90 full pages of attack with mostly ip address from Argentina. can I stop that some how?

how can I add ffmpeg and other extensions if I'm gong to stream videos?

please help me out, as I'm sure after reading my questions you can see i'm pretty noob.

Hi and welcome

Not necessary you need to add a reseller, admin user is a reseller too, depend on how you wanna organize you workflow.

I use to add my customers directly from admin.
Before add users you need to create at least 1 User Package and then you will able to add users.

First at all i suggest you to add CSF firewall (you can find in this forum) and mod_ruid2 (same as csf) that will increase your server security.

Also (i didnt but u should) you can use mod_security (always on this forum).

Regarding ffmpeg there should be thread in this forum but i never did that so im not sure.

Regarding Brute Force i suggest you to put an higher limit to the admin settings (i use 500) or, disable it if you prefer but use a firewall.
