Hi thanks for looking, I installed Direct Admin last week on my new VPS and have moved my live site onto it and its working perfectly.
However like quite a few people I have made the error of creating a new user with the same name as my old hosted server to make the restore easier and have now run into the problem of the personal license restriction of only the admin account being available.
After a lot of googling of how best to sort this situation I came across this documentation of how to upgrade a user account to a reseller and then upgrade the reseller to an admin. https://docs.directadmin.com/direct...lers.html#how-to-upgrade-a-user-to-a-reseller
Now I just need to ask some info as I'm not 100% sure if this will work.
1. When I run this script will my users domain and sites still work as they currently do or does a reseller not have any sites?
2. If the above will work then is it still true when I then convert them to an Admin account?
3. Once I have them as an Admin can I delete the original admin account without problems and therefore only have the 1 account which means I can use the personal licence?
Thanks
Darren
