DNS HELP.. please?

Hello,

For a week I have been reading and reading. Your help website and your forum. But I am still not able to set up my dedicated server.

Here are my details:


Server Name: server.coolsites.tv
Server IP: 206.51.225.159

Also assigned 12 ip's 206.51.225.159 thru 206.51.225.170

Primary Website: coolsites.tv


This is what I have done so far:

I already registered with NETSOL
ns1.coolsites.tv 206.51.225.160
ns2.coolsites.tv 206.51.225.161

In DA under ADMIN login--- IP MANAGEMENT
206.51.225.160 shared admin 0 ns1.coolsites.tv 255.255.255.0
206.51.225.161 shared admin 0 ns2.coolsites.tv 255.255.255.0

In DA under ADMIN login--- DNS ADMINISTRATION
added zone:
coolsites.tv ip-206.51.225.159 NS1- ns1.coolsites.tv NS2- ns2.coolsites.tv


In DA under RESELLER login--- NAMESERVERS
selected ip's: 206.51.225.160 & 206.51.225.160
created:
ns1.coolsites.tv
ns2.coolsites.tv


Did I miss something?
It has been 3 days and not propogated.
I am going crazy....

With whom did you register coolsites.tv?

Did you register ns1 and ns2 with the same registrar?

Note I'm not talking about assigning the nameservers, but registering them.

Did you set up ns1 and ns2 records on your server?

My guess is you didn't do the latter, since I can query your nameserver directly:

$ dig @206.51.225.160 coolsites.tv

and get an answer but when I query:

$ dig @206.51.225.160 ns1.coolsites.tv

I do NOT get an answer.

206.51.225.161/shared/admin/0/ns2.coolsites.tv/255.255.255.0

added zone:
coolsites.tv
ip-206.51.225.159
NS1- ns1.coolsites.tv NS2- ns2.coolsites.tv


In DA under RESELLER login--- NAMESERVERS
selected ip's: 206.51.225.160 & 206.51.225.160
created:
ns1.coolsites.tv
ns2.coolsites.tv

My guess is that you didn't create A records in your DNS zone.

Look at your DNS zone for coolsites.tv either as admin or as the site user.

If you don't have A records for ns1.coolsites.tv and for ns2.coolsites.tv, then create them.

Afterwards, things should start working.
