Newbie needing help

I just got my domain name and need some serious help here
I'm a marapet member and got my domain through an upgrade I purcased and was instruced by the sites owner to play with the new stuff I got I'm enjoying it immensyl but I'm having few main issues..

1. seeing the link (public link) to my site after I finish editing I can view my site but I get what i call a "garbage" link this is one only i can see or use if I was to use those links as part of a clickable link in my site members would be booted out...
what i need is info on how I can access or see the public link

I also need to know how I can go about using my files and file manager to view images I have loaded in there now...I can access the file I can add images BUT I can't get the images "public" URL so I can use it to redo the backgrounds of my web pages.
I was told I can add all the images I want to a file and just access the images and then modify my site with the images in those files...so how do I find the images URLS so I can change the ones I currently have in my web sites HTML docs?

everything else seems to be going well I'm able to load all mys sites pages I just can't edit them with the servers form of links (urls) till I mange to see a public link...

This does not seem to be a DA issue....
BTW, you can access your images by relative path.
eg.
./index.html
./images/abc.gif

lilaj378, I think you'll have to ask your provider your questions as we're a self-help forum for server owners/administrators who use the DirectAdmin control panel. We reallly can't help you with your website issues as we have no information about your hosting and no ability to make any changes to your account.

OK I guess that is an issue as well since I'm not sure WHO my provider is...
Do you mean the person whom I bought my site off of?
His name is Ian and he runs marapets...
he sold me an account upgrade for a "marasite"
thing is he doesn't help with stuff like this
so this means I got a full platinum site as he called it
and now I can't even use it as I want..?????
wow :S that really bites...

maybe someone can just direct me to the things I'm in need of
then maybe I can sort of wing it on my own from where I'm at now...

and here's what I do need to find
(this also includes info on how to set it up or tutorial
pages on how to set the stuff up and where/how etc)

I'm looking for scripts so I can have embedded windows media player or something like this so members can play live video tutorials on my site

and I am also looking for scripts for polls (that can have images or questions)
if I can get that help that will do and I can manage from there I think
(I've done pretty good so far on my own LOL)

Your site does run on a DirectAdmin server. Your nameservers are run by someone whose name may be "Ian Sim". We're not going to be able to help you write your site code, though.

Do you pay monthly for webhosting? Who do you pay? They're your hosting company.

If you don't, then you should ask Ian who hosts your site.

Then you can get your login information for your DA control panel. If your hosting company supplies Installatron or something similar you may find a link in your hosting panel to programs you can use to add functionality to your site.

I don't know how you can install Windows Media Player on a linux-based site, though.
