Hi ,

Can I administer NIS through DirectAdmin? If so can you please point me to the material on NIS.

According to this Wikipedia article, NIS can stand for a lot of things; I'm presuming you mean the Network Information Service (wikipedia.org), originally developed by Sun Microsystems (wikipedia.org).

The short answer is no. DirectAdmin is a single-server webhosting management control panel. It doesn't have anything to do with managing internal networks. Neither does it prevent you from setting up and running NIS (The Linux Documentation Project) yourself.
