I just setup a vps for a customer. It has 2 ipv4 addresses for the server and 1 ipv6.
1st ipv4 = main ip hostname, ns1 and shared users
2nd ipv4 = for ns2
1 ipv6 = also for hostname and the shared users.

At first when I setup a DA server several years ago, ipv6 was automatically enabled and it had A and AAA records etc. but now it has not.

So I used the docs and set ipv6=1 in directadmin.conf, restarted DA and added my ipv6 with the ip manager. This gave an error twice as it did not wanted to except the /64 I put in as netmask. Or was that wrong?

Anyway, I do see the ipv6 ip in the SPF record, but on new domain created no AAA records are created.
What's going wrong here?

Hello @zEitEr
Thank you for your answer. That one I missed for sure as I didn't see that in the docs.

At first I also did it the wrong way and clicked the ipv6 instead of the ipv4 but now it's working, thank you very much!!

Just an additional question. When clicking the ipv6 then in the detail window it has an option:
"When enabled, this IP can be used by multiple Resellers"
this was not selected yet.

In the ip management it's like this (185 is main ipv4 for server where ipv6 is linked to):

Will all domains from other resellers also contain the AAA ipv6 records since this is linked to the main ipv4?
Or do I need to select the "When enabled, this IP can be used by multiple Resellers" first, or is that for other purposes?

My first time with ipv6. ;)

Yes, they will.

Never used this option. I believe this option is for additional IPs only. Not too sure though.
