hi,

I created a sub-domain subtest.mydomain.com then I've added a FTP user subtest with an option which creates ftp root at public_html/user. I tried to login via ftp service but no luck:

ftp> open ftp.mydomain.com
Connected to ftp.mydomain.com.
220 Check Point FireWall-1 Secure FTP server running on fw_2
User (ftp.mydomain.com:(none)): [email protected]
331 (not authenticated): Enter server password
Password:
530-Connected to server. Logging in...
530-220 ProFTPD 1.3.1rc2 Server ready.
530-331 Password required for subtest
530 530 Login incorrect.
Login failed.

what am I doing wrong?

regards,

dink.

If you're a customer of a hosting company using DirectAdmin, then you should ask your hosting provider. If you have your own server powered by DirectAdmin, then have you looked for errors in the /var/log/messages log?
