Hello

For some time, I am not getting ANY brute-force attack alerts in my DA panel anymore. I have set DA to report the brute-force attacks when they reach 10 hits per IP. Not that I am not happy with not receiving any such alerts, but it looks somehow weird to suddenly stop not getting any of them so suddenly. One thing I should also mention here is that I have completely blocked a couple of countries completely in CSF, of course.

My question is if I have to worry about this, or if I have to check anything to see if DA is doing its job correctly in so far as reporting the alerts is concerned.

Thanks for your help

Hello,

Do you get reports in internal message system? Do you see any log lines on Brute Force Monitor page? What is the last log entry time/date?

Hello Alex,
Thanks for replying.

Yesterday I had a brute-force attack. Funny, but I was kind of happy about it!

Code:
213.136.85.238	admin	1	exim2	2014-09-15 login authenticator failed for (localhost) [213.136.85.238]: 535 Incorrect authentication data (set_id=admin)

It's good to sometimes have these alerts knowing that your server can ward off the attack!
