Hi all ...

Situation:
A client has an existing domain hosted with company B: example.com
Website and mail are all running with the other company.

That client chooses to migrate example.com to our company so they buy an account via our website. As a contact e-mail address they use a mail address with the domain they are moving, [email protected] .

When the account is activated the welcome mails are not being send to the client since the domain is registered on our server and attempts to deliver stops at our server since the domain is recognized internal but there is no mailaccount configured.

What is a clean and simple solution for this situation? How do others solve this?
Currently I mail the new client asking for another mail address but that is no good practice :(

Any help highly appreciated!
thanks in advance and have a great day!

1. use another SMTP server for send out the email instead of your server.
2. Delete the domain from your server if still not used
3. Set DNS to use external MX Server and add a DNS MX Line for the actual MX Server (you can find it using intodns.com/DOMAIN)
4. Remove just the dns record in named (on your server) for that domain till the domain isnt transfer (so the data already moved will not be removed).

Hope those helps.

Regards
