OK.. so I admit that DA is not a piece of cake to install.

I started with clean install of CentOS 4.2 .
Then installed DA . After installation there was problem about unable to find libphp4.so , I searched and found that i need to use customapache so I sorted out prob by .build update etc.

but when php problem was resolved then I looked into other stuff and wht the heck.. only httpd, named, directadmin services are running and following

exim
mysqld
proftpd
vm-pop3d

are not running !!
I tried starting them but failed then via ssh I tried and system showed that unrecognized service : mysqld

so it means it was never installed by DA but DA documentation said it will install all required material itself.

Man. .its really a mess , no ftp, no mysql, no exim ... only httpd and named installed !

Its really a pain.. someone please help

Have you checked the logs to find out why those installations failed? Download issues, incompatibilities or what?

You will need to run the installation scripts for each application that isn't installed. The originals can be found in /usr/local/directadmin/scripts/

Well, I looked into and found that mysql is installed but I think problem is that there is no mysql startup script in /etc/rc.d/init.d/
not for exim and also other services those who are not running.

Now tell me how come those are not there .though for httpd its there.

That is what the logs are for ;)

To many possibilites and not enough information.

No matter what the problem originally was, you will still need to install those services if you want your server fully functional.
In the case of MySQL, you can try copying the startup script and seeing if it gets that working.
/usr/local/directadmin/data/templates/

Well, I think same,
so guide me How can install those services.
Actually wht all I want is standard way as it should be with DA isntallation, I don't want to anything my way or custom linux way .
Well, yes going to put startup scripts and will update here soon.

well..
I ran all using Putty and I think it was scrolling fast so was not able to read anything useful.
If there is any logfile for that then please mention.
