Recently we have a customer using us for just his email. He went to his registrar (namecheap.com) and proceeded to change his mx record by using the "mxe" option. Within that option it asked for the server host name. He entered "mail" for that and then it asked him for the ip address in which he entered our ip address.
The mail comes through just fine and works great except for one thing. If I go to dnsreport.com and enter his domain "dynamicarts.com" within the "mail" portion it looks fine exept the part that states "Your domain does not have an SPF record."

Keep in mind, I have added his domain the same way I have added every other domain on our server. Every other domain has an spf record, his states that it doesnt via dnsreport.com.

Any ideas?

Thank you for reading

If he's using his registrar to handle his DNS, then this is between him and his registrar, as you're not handling his DNS.

According to the Internet Root servers, his nameservers are:

dns1.name-services.com
dns2.name-services.com
dns3.name-services.com
dns4.name-services.com
dns5.name-services.com

Unless those are your nameservers, he has to take this up with his registrar, or switch to your nameservers. He can make the switch at his registrar, and then your nameservers will handle his DNS, including his SPF record.

Thank you for the quick response Jeff.

I will take that into consideration and see what I can do.

Thanks
