no tables found in database

Been working on smf forums, tinyportal, chats, galleries, etc etc for a couple years, but pretty much have stuck to the basics. I find myself needing more knowledge. Not sure where to go. Since I looked in help and found a link to here. I figured it was as good a place as any. :)

I am attempting to install a forum, portal on a 2nd database, but in phpmyadmin I get: no tables found in database. Please Help :confused:

To create a new table; How do I determine Name, and Number of Fields value when asked in phpmyadmin?

Thanks ahead. I appreciate it if you could point me in the right place. I looked around the forum, and couldn't find the answer.

I thought so too, but I had issues, and I couldn't get installer complete

Thought I would ask. thanks for looking in...
 
Well if they tables were not created then the installer did not do its job. Try running the installer again. Make sure to read the software installation documentation so that you know how to properly inject the sql.
