My Directadmin server handles a great deal of email accounts and uses a great deal of disk I/O with all the antivirus, spamassassin and etc. I am running on CentOS 6 container inside a CentOS 6 host both 64 bit. I went this route last time to allow easier upgrading hardware, just backup OpenVZ container and move to new faster host. My I/O is getting a bit high again. I have heard using noatime can improve disk I/O considerably. Will that cause any issues on Directadmin?

Hello,

Your hosting company may have another setup, but as far as I know you can not change mount options from inside a container. So you might need to check it with your hosting company.

And noatime/relatime does not affect directadmin, and LAMP. One thing it may affect is that if you remove files from /tmp /var/tmp according to their atime.
