Hi all,

Thanks for your time first of all.

I Just got my hands on a VPS, Redhat CentOS 5.0 machine.
Installed DA and everything wokrs like a charm.
My problem is configuring my first NS.

Final goal: run a web page on the VPS.
Things I've done:

Registerd a Domain name for use as a NS domain.
I Understood i need to update it at my registrar to point to my server's IP..
I Couldn't find a "Set as NS" domain,
I Added An "A" line for the domain's zone:

ns1.xyz.com. A 100.101.102.103
ns1.xyz.com. A 100.101.102.103

same for ns2.

In the Control panel I added the domain info and added the domain's lines:

xyz.com. NS ns1.xyz.
xyz.com. NS ns2.xyz.
and:
ns1.xyz.com. A 100.101.102.103
ns2.xyz.com. A 100.101.102.103

in the administrator settings:

Server's Hostname server.xyz.com
NS1 ns1.xyz.com

I Did it today and i know that it might take 2-3 days to propagate..
But am I missing something?
are there any settings I Should add?

Everything else is pretty straight forward and i understand it.
This is the only thing i cant figure out.

Next step:

Add domain using User Panel...
Add FTP account and that it???

Thanks for your support...

NS2 ns2.xyz.com

nameserver settings

Make sure your update the nameservers at your registrar for each domain you wish to host on the server. Only updating the dns zone on the server is not enough to point it.

Thanks for your prompt reply.
I Know i should set the ns1 servers of each domain to my DNS.
but my question is about the DNS domain.
I want my DNS to be ns1.xyz.com...
And then each domain i register will be configured with this DNS servers.
Should i also point my xyz.com domain to itself?

thanks

It seems to work well now after the DNS recordds have propageted.
I Have some error according to DNSReport... But I'll fix them one step at a time.
Thnk you for your replies.
