Totally new server on Alma 9, just installed this evening.
Restored admin (domain not working yet still working on old server, but hostname is working) and my reseller account.
So I restored my reseller account from backup.
I have my own nameservers with the ip from the server and 1 external ip. But main nameservers were added as NS records. So I tried deleting them. Did not work as one of my pointers would give an error.

So I deleted all pointers and thought end of story. Add pointers again and we're done.

Well no... Got this error:
Unable to add domain pointer
details
You cannot use that domain as a pointer. It already exists on the server: domain.nl

However, nowhere is that pointer domain to be found on the server.
Also my /usr/local/directadmin/data/users/richard/domains/domain.nl.pointers file is empty.

Can anybody tell me as to where this pointer is residing somewhere so I can remove it so I can add this pointer again?

We're now almost 3/4 day further and now I can add them again. So the basic problem is solved.

However I won't put this as solved as this is a bug, because pointers should be deleted from everywhere just as if you remove a domain and create it in another account or even in the same account.

Also I still would like to know where this was stored, preventing me from adding them again last night.

Very very odd... now last night on the same freshly installed server I tried this again and the points were deleted and I now I could instantly add the same points again.

Question about location still exists.
