"not found" error when uploading files via file manager

Hi everyone,
today for the first time I encountered an issue when trying to upload to my website. When uploading any file via the file manager, the file seems to upload fine, but when I go to the url of the site I get a "not found" error.

For example, creating the page "test.html" on the public_html folder:

then visiting said page, I get this error:

any ideas on how to go about this? I had never gotten this problem before and I haven't changed any configuration since the last time I managed to upload something.
(Hope this is the correct place to post this!)
 
/public_html/ must not be visible in your error imo, problems with your doc root ? or are you using private_html without symlink ?
 
So I sent a ticket at the same time as this post (because I have little faith in ticket systems from past experiences ?....) to the staff of my host and it turns out there had been a migration some time ago, so I just had to update my DNS on cloudflare and everything worked again ?

ps: btw, what did you mean by symlink? just in case I need to know it in the future. I'm not sure if I'm using it or not since I've always used the panel-as-is, out of the box... I do know that if I click on private_html it points to/redirects, /public_html, if that's what you mean?
