Do I need two "NS" records AND two "A" records for my dns zones? I have ...

homepokertourney.com. NS ns1.hogmaintenance.com.
homepokertourney.com. NS ns2.hogmaintenance.com.

Do I also need to add two "A" records for these nameservers? Some of my dns zones contain both sets ("NS" and "A")

-----------

My server provider set up my rDNS. dnsstuff sees it just fine. Do I also need a reverse address "PTR" record in my server.homepokertourney.com dns zone or any of the dns zones for my other domains?

Before I contacted my provider to obtain my rDNS, I created a domain with a dns zone that holds only records for my rDNS ...

202.143.208.173.in-addr.arpa. NS ns1.hogmaintenance.com.
202.143.208.173.in-addr.arpa. NS ns2.hogmaintenance.com.
202.143.208.173.in-addr.arpa. PTR server.homepokertourney.com.

Do I need that seperate dns zone?

Thanks, Barry

It is good practice to add A records for nameservers as well as glue records at the domain registrar. The ptr for your mail server should match whatever hostname your mta is replying as in the smtp banner. Ask your hosting provider to setup the PTR unless they have forwarded the records to your nameserver. Most ISP's will not forward reverse control unless you have a large ip block.
