Hi
I'm from the netherlands and have 1 problem.

My nameservers rjtsolutions.nl are only pointing to 1 ip.

When i do the check with sidn include both ip's there are no problems found :-(

When i put my nameservers with another domain to ns1 and 2 to rjtsolutions.nl

i got the message there is only 1 posible 194.50.163.116 but the 117 is not in use???

What do i have to do to let it work

primary name server "ns1.rjtsolutions.nl."
Info: name server looks correctly configured.

* secondary name server "ns2.rjtsolutions.nl."
Error: name server and "ns1.rjtsolutions.nl." resolve both into 194.50.163.116
All specified name servers should be different, but apparently this
is not the case. It is useless to define the same name server twice,
because a name server cannot be a backup for itself. See TE.4

thanks in advanced

It depends on how you set up your nameserver information at your registrar.

Do you have more than one IP#? If so, use two at your registrar when you register your nameservers, and in your zone file for the domain hosting the nameservers.

If not you'll need to get slave DNS service from somewhere.

(We offer slave DNS in The Netherlands if you need a commercial hosted solution.)

Hi,

While using dig, I've noticed you're using two nameservers of (probably) your provider? There are two nameservers available, but they're (probably) not yours I assume.

Code:
;; QUESTION SECTION:
;rjtsolutions.nl. IN NS

;; ANSWER SECTION:
rjtsolutions.nl. 3590 IN A 194.50.163.116
rjtsolutions.nl. 3600 IN NS ns1.webreus.nl.
rjtsolutions.nl. 3600 IN NS ns3.webreus.nl.

To use your own nameservers you atleast need three (2 for ns1 and ns2 and 1 for srv01 (or something)), first you should add your IP addresses in DA. Please read http://www.site-helper.com/dns.html to get you started!

Regards, Jeroen.

Your nameservers appear to be pointed correctly, both from the .nl rootservers and from your nameserver I see ns1.rjtsolutions.nl pointing to 194.50.163.116 and ns2.rjtsolutions.nl pointing to 194.50.163.117.
