Hello...
Consider a scenario of taking daily (incremental) backups of a dedicated DA server (backups saved to some other server).
Which directories would you backup, in order to be able to perform a faster full recover/reinstall in case of disaster.
I mean to select directories (not just take everything, backup /).
Here is a starting list:
/home
/root
/etc
/usr/local/directadmin
/var/named
/var/lib/mysql
/var/log
/mnt/database-dumps (for me, this to daily mysql dumps of all databases)
Could you suggest more directories that really can prove handy for recovery?
Recovery means for example: Get a new empty server, setup OS + DA and start moving files from the backups.
Thank you.
