Ok I'm new & stupid but I need help!

Ok guys I'm a complete novice and I've been given the logon details by my boss and told to look after our Direct Admin account, so excuse me if the following is very basic.

In our Account details I see that our disk space capacity of 500MB is almost full, so I've three questions:

1. What would happen if the Disk space becomes completely full?
2. What could be causing our disk space to become full?
3. What do I need to delete in order to reduce the amount of disk space we are using?

If any of you could answer these questions I'd be most grateful, and I'd look like a smart cookie at the same time! Thanks in advance!

If your hosting provider allows overselling, nothing will happen. However if they dont allow overselling your account would be suspended and deactivated until your hosting provider re-enabled your account.

There should be usage statistics that show you where your space is being used up somewhere in directadmin. Usually it is old email, but it could be anything depending on how you use your account. In todays standards 500mb isnt much space at all. It is extremely easy to fill that space up quickly.

Depending on where your space being used, will determine where you need to delete files.

All website files are hosted in /home/username/domain/domain.com/public_html

Old email can be deleted with each account in webmail
