One dedicated IP 2 name servers?

Is this possible? Or should I use my shared ip for the other nameserver? I am on a VPS

You need two dedicated ips for name server, both can be on same server, which is not good redundancy. If you sync your zones over to the other server sure you can use that ip as name server too.

You can use one ip as long as the registrar allows it.

And you can certainly use your shared IP#.
