Has anybody installed OTRS on DA?

No. But...

I'm not sure which of the two OTRS solutions you'e looking into, but since they seem to be RPM installs they may rely on RPM packages which would interfere with DirectAdmin.installations. For example, do they require apache RPMs to be installed?
