outlook 2000 deleting emails from inbox

hello,
scratching my head on a sporadic problem with outlook 2000/exchange server.
some users notice some saved emails are deleted from their inbox possibly wekks after receiving them. i checked filters and looked @ autoarchive possible being on but no luck.
any help appreciated!

Not the right place. This is for directadmin with dovecot / exim issues. Not exchange.
