Outlook Express configuration

Hi everyone,

I've a problem getting an Outlook express account configured.
when I created the new email (with DirectAdmin), let's say: [email protected], I got the following info:

Username: [email protected]
password: password
Pop3 server: mail.mysite.com
smtp server: mail.mysite.com

but still get the following error when testing the account in Outlook Express:
for outgoing mails (smtp): the server was found, but there is no answer. Unable to connect to the server. please review serverport, name or SSL.​

Can anybody help me on this one? Which port should be used (and where do I find this info -for future reference-)..

Your isp is blocking port 25. Either use your isp for outgoing email or change the smtp port to 587 in the settings.
 
1: Your ISP is blocking port 25 (as scsi said) or you don't have port 25 opened in your firewall if you have one
2: Try port 587 instead of 25
3: Use the SMTP server of your ISP provider.
 
The solution has been posted in this forum many, many, many .... times.
