I have setup 2 new DirectAdmin servers for the first time running CloudLinux 8 and OLS, and have moved a bunch of clients from CPanel, though also noticed the similar behaviour on an account I believe was created fresh on the servers.
The Password Protected Directories do not accept the correct details it just prompts for them again. This appears to be consistent on any clients who have used it to protect their wp-admin directories and also seems to be the same for the few others who have restricted the root of their site. 1 test site it initially worked ok on a folder, then over time no longer accepted the credentials. We've not been able to spot anything specific in the logs other than logs the attempts as 401 errors.
Anyone know what may be the cause, and how to fix it? As my clients seem to use the functionality more than I would have expected.
