Performance VS Cpanel

I run multiple hosting sites, most of them on DirectAdmin exclusively.
I was wondering, does anyone know a rough ratio of how many more accounts I could fit on a server using DirectAdmin than CPanel?

For example, I have an 8 core opteron 6128 with 16gb ram. How many accounts do you think i could fit using da/cpanel? For example, if i could fit 1000 cpanel accounts, maybe I could fit 10%, 20%, 30% more using directadmin?
I know this is not an exact question but I'm just trying to get a general idea here.

My experience is that cPanel uses (alot) more resources then DA.
If your service is good enough you could possible run 1000 DA accounts on the server.

DirectAdmin doesn't use more resources continually because you run more domains; it only uses more resources based on the amount of domains, when it's running it's daily stat updates.

I don't know how cPanel works, so I have no idea how/when it uses resources; perhaps someone running comparable machines on both panels will tell us.
