Permission code

Hi,

i am searching for the permission code
that enables users to download and upload something on my FTP-server.
But they can't delete something!
Do someone knows the permission code?

Are you using a server powered by DirectAdmin? If so, and if you're not the server administrator, then you should ask your hosting company or server administrator. If you're not using a server powered by DirectAdmin then you're on the wrong forum; this forum is only for those of us who run DirectAdmin-based servers.

That said, in order to delete a file via ftp both the file and the directory in which the file is located have to have write permissions enabled.
