Permissions question

Hi there,

I'm having trouble figuring out what to do with these found in ftp manager
cagfs/var/cache/php-eaccelerator and cagfs/var/run/screen

Because /cache, /php-eaccelerator, /run and /screen all have "777" as permissions.
I am a newbie, and have just learned you'll never want files or any map this open for the world. But is this also true with these 4?
I do not understand what they are so do not want to change anything before I know more.
