Hi

I have just started on DirectAdmin and would like to edit the php.ini file. I did a bit of searching online but the location usr/local/lib/php.ini does not appear in the file manager.

I tried to login using SSH but the username password i use does not work. my directadmin login is on port 2222. could that be the problem??

Thanks in advanced

Are you on your own VPS or dedicated server? If not, I'd probably talk with your host about editing the php.ini file.

If you are on your own server:

You should know your shell passwords for both 'root' and the default DA 'admin' account. Your shell password for the user 'admin' on your server is the same as the admin password you have for DA in most circumstances. The port DA runs on is irrelevant, 2222 is the default.

The DA file manager is only good for quick, small fixes/renames/deletes. Very handy to have at times, but other than that it's pretty useless. Use FTP or the shell to manipulate your files much more efficiently.
