Hi,

I have a client who wants the memory_limit in php.ini lifting to 64M for the purpose of GD and Image Magick.

This to me seems extremely high and I am looking for advice as to whether or not there are any implications in doing so?

Cheers,

Bret

64M means that every process running will use up to 64M of memory. How much memory do you have available? how many php programs/scripts/pages are likely to be called at once?

Only you can make the decision. I'd say try it and see if it causes problems, but that's easy for me to say with servers with 2GB of memory.
