PHP possible as module?

I am considering ordering DirectAdmin, but on the only host I've seen it as yet, PHP was installed as a cgi. Can I have php installed as a module if I have DirectAdmin installed for me? If so, any special instructions about ordering or whatever?

The default install is php as a module.
