PHP recompilation using custombuild in Directadmin takes more time (approximately 30 minutes) than easyapache 4 of cPanel.

i was using cpanel since last many years and it is excellent. But due to price hike , i moved in DirectAdmin. But there are many lacks in directadmin. One of is recompile php.

My question is that are you planning to introduce new features to compile fast just like cpanel. Because if you can do this then it definitely one of good feature. There is also need to update some UI, but those can be ingore but those which takes time to compile php is very bad because due to this reason we can not compile php at any time. We need to schedule to do this at mid night.

I hope in future there will some good features in directadmin.

Maybe Cpanel reinstalls it from packets (yum,apt) while DA compiles if from sources.
At my VDS 2x3GHz it recompiles each version about 2-4 min, depends on server load.
