My server provider upgraded its version of DA last week

the new folder structure (appears to be an alias to domain name in public_html)

seems to be fine on all counts

EXCEPT

all PHP upload scripts placed in the new folder give the message - can't find temporary folder.

Every site I build has this sort of script - does this mean I can't continue with my current server provider?

further info

The error message refers to PHPs temp folder that it uses for all temporary files.

Looks like the change in folder structure in the recent update of DA has caused a major problem here.

my server provider has a mix of old and new / folder structure
public_html > site files - ALL working with PHP uploads absolutely fine
public_html > domain_name > site files - ALL PHP UPLOADS FAIL

its not the upload code - I've been using the same set of tools for 3 years

help!

please move thread

sorry - Admin - please move thread to support forum

There's no such thing as a support forum. What you haven't told us the location of the temporary folder that PHP cannot find.

I haven't heard of anyone else with this problem. Where do you set the location of the temporary folder, and what do you set it to?

The latest update to DirectAdmin allows you to default back to the old style directory structure, but properly setting the temporary folder location should be possible so it will work either way.
