Php version change,NEed to update,Security

New version of php is released due to new exploits,Is it the same to upgrade to php 5.2 as it would have been to update to 5.1.6?Just clarify it is the same proceadure?

The compilation and setup procedure for PHP should be the same for this new version as well. It's a matter of compiling it and changing http.conf, which should go in exactly the same way as for any version in 5.x.

there are problem with php 5.2 and if you have zenoptymiser ...

php5.2 works, but not the optimiser.
