PHP will not compile (customapache)

Hello,

When I try to recompile PHP, i get this error

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lltdl
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [libphp4.la] Error 1

*** The make has failed, do you want to try to make again? (y,n): n

[root@paris customapache]#

running centos 4.2, 32 bit

why does this happen?

manually recompile ltdl

Or install libtool and libtool-libs.
