So I got a new server last week, had CentOS and directadmin installed on it (I was a spoonfed cpanel baby), finally started figuring stuff out and attempted to upload one of my sql dbs. Got an error. Now when I click the link it wants to load phpmyadmin which is fine by me, I know that system, however, it tells me my username and password are invalid. I only have one user in directadmin, two domains, and one username for the hosting company. I've tried both, no joy. I have ftp access and file manager via directadmin, and cannot find the config file for phpmyadmin. I asked my host to reset it and was told "We only do the server and direct admin. Anything beyond that, you have to seek outside help." So I hope some of you are outside, I could use some help.

Thanks in advance,
DN

I somehow got around it. Still gave me an error on the upload, so I created a dummy db to start from. Now I can go right in.

As you worked out, you need to create a database with an username & password before you can use phpmyadmin.
