pipe invoces twice

I've setup an alias as a pipe to a php script,
but now i' finding out that the script is being run twice with the exact same stdin

Does anyone know where to start looking to fix this problem?

I don't know if it's the solution or if your problem is being caused by the same thing, but it might.
