Hello,
I am running DirectAdmin on Ubuntu 20.04. As it is EOL i am planning to upgrade it to 24.04 LTS release. I want to make inplace upgrade because of having lots of sites and settings.
I've checked the documentation and search the forum but couldn't find an exact answer for this.
My plan is like this:
- Take snapshot of the server
- Stop and disable directadmin
- First upgrade to Ubuntu 22.04 with the do-release-upgrade script
- Check for the problems and fix if any
- Then upgrade again to Ubuntu 24.04 with the do-release-upgrade script
- Check for the problems and fix if any
- Now ready for DirectAdmin upgrade:
- execute the command "da update" (if update fails, i will download the latest version manually)
- execute the command "da build all"
Is my plan ok?
Do i need any additional steps for upgrading like this or do you have any recommendations?
