Please help me setup a CNAME

Hello, I have this subdomain sub1.domain.com that I need it to point to preview.editmysite.com

So it will look something like this?
sub1 CNAME preview.editmysite.com

Do i need to redirect any ips?

The instructions i got from weebly to set this up are:

To continue, follow these instructions to setup a CNAME record for your domain.
1: Log in to your domain's control panel
2: Locate the area to change your domain's DNS settings
3: Create a new CNAME record by entering a Host Name/Alias and Value/Destination(the exact terms may vary by host) as shown below

Host Name / Alias
Your URL prefix
Example: preview

Value / Destination
preview.editmysite.com

If you already created the subdomain you need to remove it.

If you create an A record remove it

just create the CNAME from panel like this:

sub1 CNAME preview.editmysite.com.

Yes A record i remove it. What you mean remove subdomain? Remove it from dns settings or completly remove it from user panel?

well if you remove the A record i dont see any reason for have the subdomain
