pop/imap same account

Added my first imap account today and after spending 30 mins looking for add imap account button I realised its just a pop account accessed differently.

Is there a way to mark a email account for imap access only, otherwise its possble to login via pop and download all the mails of the server.

Not through DirectAdmin. It might be possible with a bit of tweaking, of course virtually anything is possible with a bit of tweaking I guess
