Hi Guys - I currently have my DA server with over 100 accounts setup on it. All the current emails are currently download to the individual accounts using outlook.

I want to migrate some of my accounts to use IMAP instead of POP3.

What is the best way to do this without disrupting things?

What do I need to install on the server?

I do not want to lose any of the old/new emails.

Thanks,
confusedguy

If you're running a server with the DirectAdmin hosting control panel installed, and if Dovecot is running:
Code:
# ps waux | grep -i dovecot
then you don't need to do anything.

If you're running DirectAdmin but don't have Dovecot installed and running, then search these forums for instructions on converting to Dovecot.

If you're not running DirectAdmin you're asking on the wrong forum; this is a DirectAdmin support forum.

Hi - I am running DA.

I have dovecot installed.

What else do I need to do? The email accounts are POP3 accounts. How does that change? And how do I get my folders in outlook to sync online?

Thanks

Just change your email client to imap and you will be able to read the email. Imap is all server side so your client just gets data from the server. You will probably have to recreate the accounts in outlook though.
