I have a reseller account. When I create a new user with a sub-domain instead of a domain, he cannot send/receive emails.
I.e.:
My domain is domain.com
i create a user called me and use him.domain.com as the domain
the user cannot send or receive emails at the address [email protected]
Is their any way to fix this?

I think there is a problem connecting to the email account as the emails account are using space.

You don't give us enough details to have any idea.

Tell us about what the user is doing. For his/her login name? For his password?

For his pop server and html server.

Perhaps you could set up a sample mail aco**** for someone here to try for you.

Thank you for this quick reply.
Any additional email account they create apparently works fine but it is the one they get by default ([email protected]) where they cannot receive anything. I have created a sample DA acoun t
username: dahelp

domain: dahelp.tumo.co.uk
loginpage: https://www.tumo.co.uk:2222

I may have misread your original post.

Subdomains set up through DA as subdomains are NOT domains, and so they don't implement email.

If you want to implement email for a subdomain, then set it up as a new domain in DA.

When I create an account, i type the subdomain name (i.e. dahelp.tumo.co.uk) in the domain box. And when they create another email account, it works fine but they cannot receive emails at default one ([email protected])

Okay, time to start talking about specific error messages.

Exactly what doesn't work?

Jeff

But you didn't get an error from POP.

So it's not a POP3 error as far as I can see.

Have you checked your /var/log/exim/mainlog to see what is happening to the email, or indeed if it's even reaching the server?
