POP3 Outlook Account wont work with out SSL

Hi all,

i'm trying to set an pop3 email account (early created at DA) at MS outlook,
but it seems that it cannot login into incoming mail server with default settings, only if i change it to use SSL , it works, however this , triggers other problems.

Any suggestions?

What error message appears to you? What is there in /var/log/maillog?

What if you manually telnet to your server on port 110,143?
