When someone sends an email to the [email protected] where does that go? The server seems to accept email to this address so its going somewhere. I would think it would go to the admin user of that particular domain.

When I use squirrel mail to log into my admin account it automatically seems to think admin's email address is "[email protected]". Exim knows that does not resolve and rejects any messages from that domain.

Just trying to understand this.

You will probably want to modify the from address from within squirrelmail to not use @hostname.domain.com

if the server is accepting email sent to postmaster it is probably being sent to the root account which is kept seperate from the admin email account by default.

You can set it up to forward to the admin account through DirectAdmin.

Ah, now I see that. Did not realize you could change that in Squirrel mail.

That answers that.

Do you mean I need to go into each and every domain and make a forwarder for abuse, postmaster and etc.? I guess thats not so bad.

THanks

Correct. Although I believe you might be able to add this task to the post user creation or post domain script (if there is one)

In this thread John points out the location of the skeleton html directory for each reseller.

But I don't think there's anything similar for aliases.

My guess is that this might require a bit of work :( .

Anyone up to it?
