The recurring licenses come with unlimited support and free installation. Now, what I am wondering is about the Lifetime Licenses. It says that the lifetime licenses come with 90 days tech support and then lists free installation later in a bulleted list. So, what that means to me is that the lifetime license has 90 days support, and then free installations for the lifetime of the license. Is this correct? Or is free installation only given within the 90 day window? I would think its free for the life of the license since its listed seperately right under the automatic updates feature, etc.

Anyone know the answer?

I believe it's actually a one-time installation for each license.

Would you need to install the license more than once? If so, then you should probably see check with Direct Admin Sales.

Well, I am just asking because there are times where one might need to reinstall the operating system and control panel product. I know it shouldn't be something that is needed often, but there instances where a reinstall may be nessisary. I just figured Free Installation included installing it at later dates as well if nessisary. Otherwise it would probably say Free 1 time installation.

But I did send an email to DirectAdmin yesterday asking about it. I just thought I might possibly get a responce in the forums faster since I sent the email after DA had closed for the day.

I have used DA in the past but those were all internal licenses through the datacenter. I have to say the product is great and I love everything about DirectAdmin. I wouldn't have considered getting a license for it otherwise. I love how it is simple, to the point, and uses less resources than other control panels out there. Ive used Plesk and CPanel and both are decent but seem to make things more complicated than they really have to be. Not to mention I always experienced bugs and issues when upgrading CPanel. DirectAdmin is the only control panel ive used where and update didn't somehow break something lol. Not to mention user backups and transfers on directadmin are great and work flawlessly every time ive used it.

I was just informed by DirectAdmin staff that the free installation is not just 1 time. Reinstalls are included free as well even after the 90 days. Good to know.
