Problem accessing site using Windows ME but OK with XP

Hi,
I've few problems after installing Directadmin.
1. I encounter problem to acccess any sites from my server whenever I use computer that installed with Windows ME. But if I use any computer using windows XP, it's accessible. Any body knows what is the problem here?
2. My computer cannot be Ping. Why?
3. My colleque in Romania cannot view my sites but fine from few other countries. Why?

I Really need an assistance on this issues.

What browser are you using on WinME?
People and other countries might not be able to access your server because either your datacenter blocks ips from those countries or the isp providers in the countries of question block connections to other locations.
 
I'm using Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 6 128 bit. It's OK when I use the Windows XP OS which is installed in my computer and when I switch to other my laptop which is installed with Windows ME version, I can't access the site. I'm not sure what is the problem as it's from the same location.

Regarding a friend from Romania, they have tried from asking their friend from few other towns in Romania and it seems all of them can't access it. So is this means the ISP issue? ISP or at the datacenter or my server box setting?

And 1 more thing is that the datacenter admin can't ping my server but others box which is installed with other control panels oe webmin, plesk, Cpanel etc can be ping. So why mine cannot be ping? Is that because of my DA admin? If it's, how to allow people to ping my server? Or is this ping necessary? What's the advantages and drawbacks of allowing my server to be ping?
 
DA does not block pings. Many firewalls do.

Since you've not posted your IP#s or your domain names there's no way we can try to resolve your problem.

Thanks in advance for assisting me in this issue. I really appreciate all your assistance.

The IP number are 202.133.105.43 and 202.133.105.21

I think the admin did not install firewall in the server. Also it seems this server always has an intermittent problem lately. But my friend who use a plesk CP at this datacenter is OK during the intermittent occurs on my site. Maybe it's the setting but I don not know which caused the problem.

I can ping both IP#s.

Using ftp, the ip# ending in .43 gets me to the server main site page; the one that says:

Hey, it worked !

The one ending in .21 gets me to an under construction site.

Neither IP# has reverse DNS set up for it, and this could be causing connectivity problems for ssh, ftp, email, etc., but shouldn't for either http or for ping.

Both IP#s appear to be on the same system; they both answer the same way.

Without domain names, that's all the checking anyone can do.

Once again thatks a lot for the assistance. I really appreciate it.

Anyway the datacenter's admin said he can't ping my server from any remote PC. And whenever problem occurs eg intermittent etc, he said he can't ping it and need to go to the datacenter to check it manually. So if you can ping it and he can't, it means that is his problem right? The domain is hotviral.com or hotviral.net

2. Also few friends from Romania said they can't view any sites in my server but they can FTP it. In this case what is the issue?
