problem after update new version

after update to new version receive email
DirectAdmin has been updated
but a few minutes
The service 'directadmin' on server **** is currently down
and
[root@150 ~]# service directadmin restart
Stopping DirectAdmin: [FAILED]
Starting DirectAdmin: [FAILED]

please help me

You might need to run DirectAdmin in debug mode and see what does it complain about.

Then you should contact your VPS provider and ask them to change OS in Directadmin License to match your current type and version, or to give you a new one.

i also got exactly same error yesterday.
i thought after a reboot things may get cleared... but no...
today morning again i got email of 'The service 'directadmin' on server xyz is currently down ', i searched for solution and found this thread
so i logged in to providers ticket system, opened a ticket started to copy-paste the error message from my mail.

Then suddenly noticed, got email 'New Message: DirectAdmin has been updated'
checked DirectAdmin, working fine, i can login.

So either wait for 24hrs for DA to try its update again [or] give the update command manually - http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=29 (u'll need the clientID & licenceID)
