problem reciving and sending mail

hello,

today one of our da servers get an mail problem. our client gets an error "too many concurrent SMTP connections"

if this happends, the incomming mail wil noy be deliverd in the popbox and our clients cannot get them mail from our server. the only way is to reboot the exim service so everything works.

does someone has an solution for me???

You may be seeing a denial of service attack, or you server may be attempting to send back email to nonexistentent sending addresses.

Make sure you're running the latest version of exim.conf.

Also you might want to consider using SpamBlocker (it's built in) as it will keep your system from becoming overloaded.
