problem with changing hostame in centos 5.5

Hi there,

I try to change my server hostname with hostname.sh bash file.
first, it's OK! and my host name change successfully,
but after some times(about 1 day), hostname change to old hostname automatic!!!

Do you have any idea about this ?
 
Hello,

I suppose you're running a VPS server. If that's true, a hostname can be changed only via a VPS panel, not in shell. For more information in that case contact your hosting company support team.

I use a HyperVM in VPS server.
But I can't find a place to change hostname!
It seems that my HyperVM owner limit me in VPS.
I will contact with VPS provider and found it :D
