problem with one mailbox

Hello,

I have deleted one email address using the directadmin control panel, I tried to send an email to that email address and I don't receive the non deliver message, the mailbox does no longer exist because I have delete it

if I send an email to a mailbox that does not exist on the server, I will receive the NDR message properly saying "Delivery Status Notification (Failure)"...

but, with this specific email address it seems the server it still accepting messages

what can I check?
